This covers the Float Seattle member app. It is written to be checked against the software rather than to be reassuring.
Studio locations and hours, service descriptions and pricing, the breathing timer, the journal and the reading list all work with no account and no sign-in. Used this way, we collect nothing about you at all — no profile, no identifiers, no analytics.
The breathing timer and the float journal are stored only on your device. Journal entries are never transmitted to us, never stored on our servers, and never visible to Float Seattle staff. Deleting the app deletes them.
We collect your email address, to sign you in. We use a one-time code rather than a password, so there is no password to store or leak.
We then ask for the email or phone number you use at Float Seattle, to find your existing customer record. We ask rather than assume, because the address you sign in with is often not the one the studio has.
To confirm the record is yours, we send a short code to the contact details already on file at the studio — never to an address typed into the app. Someone who enters a stranger's email gets a code sent somewhere they cannot read, and the app tells them only that a code went out.
Float Seattle books and bills through a system called HelmBot. Once your app account is connected to your studio record, that system tells us about your visits so the app can show them to you: your name, email and phone as the studio holds them; your appointments, including which studio and whether you attended; purchases and service credits; and membership status and renewal dates.
The studio's booking system remains the system of record. The app is a window onto it. When you book, you are using Float Seattle's own booking pages inside the app.
Your account shows you your own record and nobody else's. That is enforced by the database itself rather than by the app's screens, so a bug in the app cannot expose another member's history.
Studio staff can see your studio record, as they always could — it is their booking system. The app does not widen that.
On Supabase and Cloudflare, both in the United States. They process data on our instructions and do not use it for their own purposes.
You can delete your account at any time from the Account tab in the app. No email, no waiting, no support request. It removes your account and our copy of your information immediately.
It does not delete your Float Seattle customer record. That belongs to the studio, and we should not be able to erase your membership or purchase history from their system. To be removed from the studio's own records, contact them directly.
The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
You can ask what we hold, ask us to correct it, or delete it — deletion is in the app, and the rest by email. Washington residents have additional rights under the My Health My Data Act; write to us and we will honour them.
If this policy changes, we will update the date above.
